2023 AFCON: Adingra Voted Young Player of Tournament

With Two assists in the final against Nigeria and a dramatic equater final equalizer against Mali, 22-years-old Brighton player Simon Adingra emerged MOTM at the 2023 African Cup of Nations.

The youngster was was also name best young player of the tournament for his massive contributions to nation’s emphatic achievement of becoming the first host to retain the trophy in 18years.

Adingra missed most of Côte D’Ivoire’s group stage matches due to a hamstring injury that restricted him.to just two start and five substitute appearances.

Depite setbacks the sensational young forward always gave in a great shift either as sub or full start crowning in the final with assisats to Frank Kessie and Sébastien Haller which secured Côte D’Ivoire’s third AFCON title.
