2023 AFCON Q: In-form Shalulile In Coach Benjamin’s 25 Brave Warriors Squad To Face Cameroon

Mamelodi Sundowns’ go-to-guy Peter shalulile, 29, has been included in Namibia’s 25-man squad to face the indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

The latter is the hottest property in Africa football currently, having scored 11 goals in the PSL and 4 in the TotalEnergies CAF champions league.

Namibia face Cameroon away on 24 March before hosting the return leg four days later in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Benjamin called up a plethora of exciting players to challenge experienced regulars for a starting berth against the 2022 Fifa World Cup finalists.

Namibia lie bottom of their qualifying group behind Burundi and leaders Cameroon.

The Brave Warriors campaign got off to a shaky start last year after being held 1-1 by Burundi, who subsequently lost their next match 1-0 to Cameroon.

Namibia need only to finish second to qualify for the Afcon finals in Ivory Coast, in the 3-team group C.
