2026 World cup Qualifiers: Cameroon placed in tricky group D

Experienced world cup campaigners have been drawn in a tricky group as the indomitable Lions look set to hit the road for the 2026 World cup.

Cameroon, 8 times participants in the world cup finals will seek for a 9th participation against 5 others in one group.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have been placed in Group D.

The group comprises five countries alongside Cameroon; Cape Verde, Libya, Angola, Eswatini, and Mauritius.

Meanwhile, the four best runners-up from the groups will be able to participate in a Confederation of African Football (CAF) Play-Off tournament.

In total, 48 countries will be expected to compete in the 2026 World Cup tournament scheduled to run from June 11 to Saturday 19, 2026, hosted by Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
