Jerome Onguene Backs Lions Call – Up With Stellar Stellar Salzburg Performance

Pre – selected by Indomitable Lions coach Antonio Conceiçao – in view of the two World Cup qualifying games against Malawi and Cote D’Ivoire, Jerome Onguene was able to match the hype on Wednesday 27, in the Austrian Cup.

Jerome Onguene started and lasted the entire duration of the game against St. Polten in the second round of the Austrian Cup.

The 23 year old helped his team keep a clean sheet, whilst Daouda Guindo, Adamu and Nissen struck to take Salzburg to the quarter finals of the Austrian Cup.

The Mbalmayo native and erstwhile Stuttgart defender has put together 9 games and scored once for Salzburg this season, a record which has rarely been bettered by other Lions.
