Elite Two: Jefter Arrey Fires ISHOSA To Wining Start

Erstwhile Continental FA player Arrey Jefter netted in the second stanza as ISOHSA ran out 1-0 winners over Panthere at the Limbe Centenary stadium this Saturday, Oct. 28.

Isles of Hope Sports Academy are off to a début win at home to Panthère Sportif of Nde thanks to a goal from 18year-old Jefter Arrey.

The Royal Elephants had multiple chances to haverst more goals especially in the second half but spammed them on different occasions.

Ayme Nlend’s team looked much better in the after the pose, controlling the entire game against a compact Panthère side without backup in the dugout.

Captain Tabi Ashu and co created a couple attempts including a two set-pieces for him which crashed against the human wall and the other gliding out from the near post. Tiku stretched himself to keep in a diagonal cross with a header that had no one to finish.

The moment of glory finally came ins the 78th minute when a through ball down the middle fell into the path of Jefter who saw his initial effort come-off the keeeper before laying it peacefully in for 1-0.

Jefter has played with the U15 an d U17 national team categories of the Cameroon national team, and the lad has made steady progress from the regional to the Elite Two championship.

Fatigue tookover Panthère players after conceding, doubling the advantage for ISOHSA. However, the Nzuimanto got a moment when Dylan Ipoua made a misjudged outing with little power on his punched ball which found Frank Alexandre who skyed his shot.

Substitute Ayoung Mukete was left with nothing but head in hands after a well worked out ball placed to him by Tiku didn’t produce the required results.

First outing and first three points certainly has morales lifted ahead of a visit from Djiko FC on Matchday-2.
