Elvis Noupue set to Reinvest 2023 AFCON Experience In Cameroon.

One of Cameroon’s two match officials at the African Cup of Nations, Elvis Noupue has opened up on how his encounters at the soccer showpiece has impacted his colleagues at home even while in Côte D’Ivoire.

The assistant referee who also doubles as Video Assistant Referee (VAR) opperator has aired how is in constant communication with local upcoming match officials in Cameroon’s domestic Championships in a bit to uplift the quality freeing in his country.

In a brief chat with his countrymen of the media in Abidjan, Mr. Noupue revealed he is in touch with the referee’s corp updating them on some decisions taken at the tournament in Côte D’Ivoire.

“Everyday I share with local instructors possible match situations, plus referees commission members of FECAFOOT, so they can also implement in our local preparations.”

Elvis Noupue, 40, explained he extends his efforts as far as reaching out directly promising young colleagues back at home.

“I am here today, tomorrow we have to get other referees from Cameroon so I share my experiences with federal referees when there is a situation which leaves them in doubt.” He said.

He alongside Carine Atezambong Fomo were the lone match officials selected by the Confederation of African Football to moderate matches at the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations.

Worthy of note is the fact that Elvis Noupue was suspended in Cameroon after the Colombe vs Fovu match (Cameroon cup), due to a call he made after the Colombe keeper stepped off his line to save a penalty – last June but has been at international matches across Africa.

Elvis Guy Noupue Nguegoue was also present at matches in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
