“I take responsibility ” Brys on leaving out key players ahead of 2025 AFCON Q

Marc Brys is enjoying life as indomitable Lions coach with 2 wins and 2 draws under his belt since his takeover.

However, the gaffer’s criteria for players’ detection and selection has shocked many analysts and pundits.

With 3 goals in 6 games in the Saudi pro league, Marc Brys decided to leave out Damac’s George Kevin Nkoudou.

The Belgian has equally overlooked Darlin Yongwa of Lorient who was beginning to put up great performances under his predecessor, Rigobert Song.

” I take complete responsibility for my decisions. Nkoudou was injured, and they’re some talented players I am yet to discover.

“Cameroon is a country of a lot of talents but everyone cannot play at the same time”

Same answer was attempted as regards the call up of full back Fai Collins, who has been without club for over 3 months.

“Like i said before, it is entirely my decision. Moreover, Fai is very important for the group. He hasn’t played so far. But he is healthy for the squad. He can step up whenever we want him to.” Marc Brys ended.

With a trail of successful results so far, exclamation points have not been placed on the selection criteria of Marc Brys. However, if there is a change of fortune, more questions will rise from the offing.
