Cameroon – Kenya:   Marc Brys hints at possible start for Ngadeu

Ahead of the crucial AFCON game day 3 qualifiers against joined top (Kenya) in group J, Marc Brys has signaled possible reasons for maintaining same backline.

Since his return to the indomitable Lions after missing out of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, Michael Ngadeu has come under deep scrutiny.

The 33-year-old Beijing Guoan F.C. defender has partnered with Christophe Wooh in all four games Marc Brys has been in charge of, and that could remain the case in the next couple of games.

“Ngadeu has been impressive (Brys giggles and asked reporters to verify from Jackson Tchatchoua, by his left side): ” Editor’s pick”.

” If there’s another young player who plays better than him, I’ll give them a chance to play. He scored a fantastic goal in training yesterday. I am not married to Ngadeu, ” Brys responded to reporters who bothered about the defender ageing.

Michael Ngadeu has served the Lions since 2016, and has an AFCON winners medal from 2017.

With over 55 caps with the indomitable Lions, Ngadeu will have to buckle up and keep battling for places alongside young and exciting defenders like newly called Enzo Boyomo (23) of Osasuna and Jean Charles Castelleto making his return.

Under Brys’ command, Ngadeu has scored once and helped his team to 2 clean sheets in four games.
