In a recent update to the World Tennis Juniors ranking, significant shifts have reshaped the landscape of young talent in the tennis world. Notably, Joseph Oyebog Junior, representing the Oyebog Tennis Academy, has surged to prominence, now claiming the 145th position globally.

This achievement marks Oyebog as the highest-ranked Cameroonian-origin athlete in the fiercely competitive World Tennis Tour Junior circuit, surpassing the previous record held by Anna Lorie Lemongo at 150th since January 4, 2021.

Another standout in this ranking update is the remarkable ascent of Daniel Ekango, who has garnered 224 points, propelling him into the top 500 players globally, now resting at the 458th spot.

Following closely behind are Cedrick Ndinkwa at 1134th, Alioum Salaoudine at 1173rd, and Fadil Zambou at 1312th, showcasing the depth of talent emerging from Cameroon in the international tennis scene.

On the women’s front, Lucy Oyebog shines as the top-ranked female player from Cameroon, securing the 282nd position. She is trailed by Charnelle Fozo at 833rd, Serena Fokou at 978th, Morelle Ngo Ndje at 1092nd, and Leigh Oyebog at 1178th, each making their mark in the global rankings.

The top 5 players from Cameroon, led by Joseph Oyebog Junior, are setting new standards and raising the bar for tennis excellence in the country.
