Cameroon Ballon d’Or: John Bosco, Naomi Eto win the Holy Grail
They were some big winners of the 30th edition of the Cameroon Ballon d’Or 2024, which had it’s ceremony take place on February 28, 2025 at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé.

John Bosco Nchindo and Naomi Leslie Ndjoah Eto won the best players’ awards in the men and women’s category respectively.
In Elite One, Nincho John Bosco from Young Sport Academy of Bamenda succeeded Emmanuel Mahop, winner of the 2023 edition. In Guinness Super League, Naomi Leslie Eto, aged only 20, replaces Ngah Manga Gisèle Divine, winner of the previous edition.
John Bosco Nincho, erstwhile Young Sport Academy striker, triumphed against his rivals, Nathan Douala of Victoria United and Yvan Mvondo Olama of the Colombe du Dja Elobo.
During the 2023-2024 season, Bosco distinguished himself with 13 goals scored and four assists, allowing his club to finish strongly in the Elite One.
No surprise for Naomi Leslie Ndjoah Eto. The member of Nîmes Olympique in France and former player of FAP was already favorite for the award.
After a brilliant participation in the Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, crowned by 4 goals in four games and a great season in the Guinness Super League, Eto picked up the Holy Grail on Friday.
When her name was announced by the Minister in charge of relations at the Presidency of the Republic, Philippe Mbarga Mboa, the emotion was at its peak. Her mother, who received the award in her absence, was lost for words.
The 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony rewarded nearly 18 categories in Cameroonian football, both men and women.
This ceremony brought together Cameroon’s leading figures, including Minister Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, Minister Ernest Ngllé Bibéhè and the Minister in charge of relations at the Presidency of the Republic, representing the First Lady Chantal Biya.
