Fai Collins: Lions Defender Gets Traditional Uplift

Fai Collins, 29, has added a title to his third place medal some hours after the end of the AFCON 2021 which saw Senegal emerge victorious.

The full back was decorated and given the title ‘Mformi Bor’ which translates; Football Royalty, in the Nso land.

The former USD defender was handed the title in Yaounde, Cameroon, by chief Sehm Biglo.

Fai Collins topped the assists chart at the AFCON with 3 assists, and made the bench in CAF’s team of the tournament.

The later who just inked for Al Taï in Saudi Arabia, had prolly his best time in national team colors.

He was truely in superlative form, as he side grabbed bronze on home soil.

It was his heroics that saw Cameroon progress to the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals with a 2-0 win over Gambia, with some fans overlooking Ekambi’s brace, and edging in love with Collins, who caught the eyes of the online football fraternity.

Collins Fai already won the prestigious AFCON competition for his nation in 2017. Now at Al Tai, he will look to continue writing his own story.
