Fai Collins Starts Off At Al Taï With Victory

Having gained the reputation of the ‘dependable’ Fai Collins, the right back was thrown straight into action against Al-Batin in the Saudi Pro League, and helped Al Taï get the nod (3-0) in the fixture.

Coach José Luis Sierra wasted no time to give Fai Collins his debut in new colours, as the EX Standard Liège man came in for Abdullah Hassoun at the 46th minute.

Like Santa’s entrance, goals popped up for the hosts. Al Taï got their first courtesy of forward –
Jamal Bajandouh.

72 minutes in, Tobías Figueroa restored the lead for Al Taï, after Antonio’s 69th minute goal had Al-Batin looking towards parity.

Angola international – Cephas Malele, who came in as a second half Substitute, made sure Collins and co had all three points with the game’s third.

Fai Collins, 29, is expected to do more, given that it was just his first game, after one training session with his new side.

Fresh from the AFCON with his country Cameroon, Collins had a great personal tournament where he scored 3 assists and made the bench in CAF’s team of the tourney.

Al Taï are 10th in the 16-team Championship with 22 points after 20 match days.
