Serey Die Retires From International Duty Again

Cote D’Ivoire international, Serey Die, has ended his international career for he second, and hopefully the last time. Serey Die put a definitive stop from donning the national team colours this weekend.

The decision comes after the just ended AFCON 2021 in Cameroon, and he will no longer be available for call-ups to the Cote D’Ivoire squad in subsequent competitions.

The EX skipper announced himself on Saturday, February 12, 2022 during a live broadcast on his Facebook page that it is now all over.

Aged 37, the native of Facobly considers his career having been descent. “I had a descent career. Now the time has come for me to move on. I had already announced my retirement but I came back because coach Beaumelle told me that it would be for me, as a big brother, to guide my younger brothers. I found this mission noble and I reconsidered my decision But now, the time has come for me to retire,” he said.

Die has thanked all those who helped him in his career path. “I never thought I would reach this level but thanks to you all, I did. Staying in the national team until this age is a blessing.” Die ended.
