CAF CL: Etta Bawak’s Al Merrikh Defeat Al Hilal

Al Merrikh’s new Cameroon import, Thomas Etta Bawak played 81 minutes in his team’s 2-1 win over arch rivals Al Hilal, in the CAF champions league.

Thomas Etta Bawak, 27, made way for Sudanese midfeilder Elnour Badawi at the 81st minute, having played some exquisite stuff, that saw his team leading 2-1, and it stayed that way

Al Merrikh scored their first goal as early as the 3rd minute through defender Elsamani Saadeldin.

Playing under the scotching turf at the Al Salam stadium in Cairo, Al Hilal got back to level terms through Mohamed Abdelrahman, two minutes after half hour.

Al Merrikh however scored another at the 42nd minute to regain their lead. It was Saadeldin who got his brace just few minutes to the pose.

With the result, EX Cotonsport man – Thomas Etta Bawak and his teammates temporary move joint top in group A of the CAF champions league, alongside Sundowns and Ahly who both have games in hand.
