Friendlies: Apam Scores In Apejes’ 3-1 Defeat To Chad

Cameroon Under-20 international, Bemol Apam Assongwe was target for Apejes Academy, but the men of coach Ema Ndongo went on to lose 3-1 – in a friendly to Chad on March 16.

Apam, 20, scored first for 2021 Cameroon vice champions Apejes Academy, after the Sao of Chad scored two in quick succession, in the first half.

Chad then came from behind to score twice Haroun Tchaouna and Brahim Mahamat, before Apam’s goal sent the sides to the pose, at 2-1.

The game was played at the Military stadium that had a handful of fans prolly owing to the fact that there was an Elite One Opener at almost the same time.

The Sao had an extra motivation and played as though they meant it. Whilst Apejes searched for an illusive equaliser, 26-year-olf former Tours FC forward, Brahim Mahamat, completed his brace, after he scored earlier in the first half.

Chad opted to pick two friendlies in Cameroon against Apejes and YOSA, so as to help them better for their AFCON qualifiers clash against Gambia on March 23.

Next up for team Chad is YOSA on Saturday March 19. Chad will host Gambia in, for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers in Yaounde, Cameroon – on March 23, and play the return in Agadir on March 29.
