Cameroon vs Algeria: Ngamaleu Regrets His Absence

Young Boys’ forward, Nicolas Ngamaleu Moumi has taken to his social media handles to wish his teammates luck against Algeria, in the upcoming double confederation.

The EX Cotonsport man hugely regrets the fact that, he wouldn’t be out battling with his teammates for a WC ticket, after dropping out of Song’s list late, due to injury.

“It’s very hard not to be able to be with my teammates to get a place at the next World Cup.

”Injured at the ankle, I unfortunately had to forfeit my place. No doubt that my teammates will succeed,” Ngamaleu ended.

Ngamaleu, who has been One of Cameroon’s most productive players in the last one-and-half year, pulled out of the double confrontation against Algeria, due to Injury as a statement from the media officer of the Indomitable Lions indicated.

It was a huge blow, happening barely 2 days after Zambo Anguissa was equally announced to miss the tie.

Under Conceiçao, Ngamaleu was a different kind of player, playing over 20 games in his spell, scoring twice and assisting 11, on his way to the bronze medal of the AFCON 2021.

Moumi Ngamaleu has been replaced on the roster by 21-year-old Cotonsport winger, Marou Souaibou.
