Saagi Awa Leaves Stade Renard To FC Minsk

Pacy winger Saagi Awa has completed a switch from 2019 Cameroon Cup winners, Stade Renard of Melong to FC Minsk.

The teenage sensation has made a month training with the Minsk and managed to convince the technical bench with his abilities.

Under coach Gabriel Zabo, Saagi helped Stade Renard maintain their top-flight status last season, though at the end, all the teams were made to stay afloat in the top-tier.

Saagi Awa, aged 20, didn’t however play for long at top level in Cameroon before making his move to Minsk, showing again his quick adaptation to the game.

For starters, FC Minsk is a professional football club based in Minsk, Belarus. They play in the Belarusian Premier League, the highest tier of Belarusian football.

The 2013 winners of the Belarusian cup are looking to win their first premiership. Minsk are first in the 16-team Belarusian league this season, having picked up one point from two games.

Last season, they finished 12th with only 33 points registered in 30 match days, but it was enough to keep them in the championship. The men of coach Vadim Skripchenko with Saagi as their newest import, will be looking to change that.
