Ekambi Speaks After Lyon Gets Knocked Out Of Euroupa League

Karl Toko-Ekambi has admitted that “it was difficult”, after his club-side – Olympique Lyonnais was eliminated on Thursday evening in the quarter-finals of the Europa League at Groupama Stadium.

Having held what was supposed to be an advantaged scoreline (1-1) in the first leg in England last week, West Ham United were imperial on Thursday night in France.

With a 0-3 score, the Hammers humiliated Lyon in front of their home crowd, after a meeting that completely ripped apart the home side.

While the Cameroon star was highly awaited, he seemed helpless.

“We had chances early in the game but we didn’t score. I don’t think my shot on the bar would have changed things if it had gone in because we had chances afterwards.

“Our adversaries are used to defending, they were strong. Afterwards, they took the advantage and it was inevitably difficult.
