It’s Over Between Montpellier & Oyongo

Cameroonian defender – Ambroise Oyongo Bitolo will leave Montpellier at the end of his contract for a destination yet to be revealed by the left back and his entourage.

Montpellier made the news official on Monday May 23rd, via all their various digital platforms.

13th in the French Ligue 1 in the just ended 2021/2022 campaign, the championship side decided to part ways with five players in their roster.

Amid the five, is 30-year-old Ambroise Oyongo, and; Mihailo Ristić, Junior Sambia, Nicholas Gioacchini, together with Matheus Thuler.

The fullback arrived on a free transfer in January 2, 2018 from the Impact Montreal in the MLS

The latter whose contract with Montpellier expires on July 1, 2022, has offers from relatively smaller teams in the French Championship, and in Saudi.

During his tenure with the 2012 French Champions, Oyongo was loaned to Krasnodar in February 2021.

However, his development and progress in France was disrupted above by serious injuries, as he was limited to; 74 games, 4 goals, and 2 assists in the league.
