Elite One: Nebankia Peter On Target, But Renaissance Rally From 1 Down To Defeat Eding

Renaissance FC of Ngoumou from the brink of despair last season, have started their MTN Elite One campaign on a decent note.

The side that has made a name as one of the finest when it comes to the nurturing of talents shocked last season’s vice champions Eding Sport FC, with a 2-1 victory on match day 4.

The game started with both sides feeling it and it was evident on the pitch when Eding opened scores and Renaissance fought back to equalize one minute after.

Nebankia Peter Paul scored at the 3rd minute, but his goal was wiped out by Anaba Metogo at the fourth minute.

Both sides went to the locker on level terms but upon resumption of hostilities, Renaissance looked the better of the two sides. Kebel Bassinha got the important goal at the 87th minute, as Renaissance piped Eding at the finish line.

Renaissance are now on 4 points in group A, level with Eding.
