Eto’o Hopes To Replicate Inter’s 2010 Fairytale In Qatar

Samuel Eto’o, for the umpteenth time has insisted that Cameroon has an ambition to win the 2022 World Cup to be staged in Qatar from Nov. 20.

With this goal in mind, the President of the Cameroon Football Federation draws his inspiration from José Mourinho andhis Inter side of 2010.

Under a fortnight to the start of the World Cup, the president of FECAFOOT remains determined with his dream of seeing his team win the competition. A possible objective to achieve according to cameroon’s all time leading scorer. “I don’t see why we can’t win it. I believe that to win the World Cup, you don’t have to be monsters or aliens, you need good preparations, a strong mentality and a pinch of madness,” Eto’o told FIFA.

A former Inter player, the FECAFOOT boss recounts glorious times with the Nerazzurri, well orchestrated by Mourinho.

“I always take Inter as an example: nobody at the start of the 2009-2010 season thought we could win the Champions League and Mourinho did something crazy, with a group of men and warriors. I would like something like that for Cameroon too”, ended the boss of FECAFOOT.

Cameroon starts her World Cup campaign against Switzerland on November 24, then Serbia on November 28 before facing familiar foes – Brazil on November 2.
