Cameroon vs Jamaica: Eta Bawak, Che Malone On The Starting Block

PWD’s Eta Bawak Thomas is listed amongst starters for Cameroon’s last friendly game at home against Jamaica, prior to the FIFA World Cup that commences on November 20.

Head coach Rigobert Song has opted for a 4-3-3 formation, starting Etta Bawak on the right side, Cotonsport’s Houzafi on the left, with Moukoko and Che Malone guarding the middle of the defense.

The four-man wall is placed before Gazelle FA’s goalkeeper, Mbahbi Marcelin, who had a stellar start to the MTN Elite One campaign with newcomers Gazelle. Mbahbi keeps out Haschou Kerrido and Kibyen Patrick.

In the middle of the park, Louis Mbah and Zemba have been handed deep lying midfeild roles, with Beo Bato to provide some creativity just ahead of those two.

Skipper, Vincent Aboubakar will play through the center, accompanied on the left by Cameroon’s Ballon D’or winner, Marou Souaibou – and on the left by Colombe’s Jerome Ngom. Vincent Aboubakar is the only foreign-based player who starts this evening.

This is a farewell game for the Lions and despite the smooth feeling around the stadium prior to kick-off at 6:00 pm, there’s that feeling of a ‘must win’ written all over it.
