Cameroon Panama: Song Leaves Out Bayern’s October POTM, Choupo- Moting From Starting XL

Coach Rigobert Song has put up a strong starting eleven without in-form Choupo-Moting, who was recently crowned Bayern’s best player for the month of October.

In a 4-3-3 system, Vincent Aboubakar starts up top and he will be accompanied by Toko (left) and Mbuemo (right).

Hongla Martin will occupy the deep-lying midfeild position as Zambo and Ntcham have been given the license to assist the front three.

The gaffer has opted for a back four but certainly it doesn’t shape up to be a flat back four, as right back Fai Collins and Tolo will look to be used more as wingbacks. Casteleto partners at the heart of the defense with Nkoulou, while Onana maintains his position as the undisputed goalie.

Choupo-Moting produced one starring display after the other in October, and that’s now been recognised by the FC Bayern fans, who have chosed the 33-year-old striker as their Player of the Month. Choupo-Moting received a whopping 75 percent of the votes, with closest challenger Jamal Musiala – who’d won the award three months running – receiving 10 percent.

It is the first time Cameroon is playing against Panama, and it will be their last test game prior to their world cup opener on November 24 against Switzerland. The game starts at 11 am local time at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium.
