Allan Nyom Bags Motoreto Award

Former Cameroonian International, Allan Nyom received a Motoreto Trophy, often given to players who travel the most kilometers during the month of November in the Segunda; Spain’s second-tier.

The defender covered a total of 39.9 kilometers during Segunda matches played for LD Leganes last November.

It comes in as a surprise given the latter’s age. Nyom, aged 34, is one of the senior players of Leganes but from the Motoreto award, it shows his commitment has not dwindled.

Nyom has been a journey man all through the years. He began his career in Nancy and also played in Arles and Granada CF, where he was an important player as he earned 188 games in Segunda B, LaLiga 123 and LaLiga.

In the summer of 2015, after six years in Granada, Nyom signed for Watford, where he played 36 matches in Premier League. Afterwards, the full back joined West for two seasons, before returning to Leganes for a second spell at the club last two season.

Nyom’s Leganes are placed 12th after 19 games played so far this season with 26 points on the cards, 8 points adrift a qualification spot to the top-tier.
