Regis Mughe Called To Marseille’s First Team

18 year old Ecole de Foot graduate, Francois Regis Mughe is gradually integrating the Marseille first team.

Coach Igor Tudor gave the lad some minutes, as the Olympique Marseille played a friendly against Nimes, days prior to the restart of the French Ligue 1.

Olympique Marseille were held in check by Nîmes on Monday at the Robert Louis-Dreyfus center in their second friendly match of the international break.

After ‘Les Blues’ gulped down defeat in the World Cup final, players of Olympique de Marseille got their cleats on Monday, for a friendly match against Nîmes in the Robert Louis-Dreyfus training center.

Pablo Pagis opened scores for Nimes in the first half. Dimitri Payet however equalised for Marseille, but the major breakthrough was Mughe coming on in the second segment.

Usually when a youngster starts getting an invitation to train with the senior team, it means the hour is upon the player to start getting into match day squads.

Marseille will return to action on Thursday December 29 at the Vélodrome stadium against Toulouse for match day 29 of Ligue 1. It is left to be seen if Igor will gift Mughe some minutes.
