Joel Tagueu Bids Farewell To Maritimo Fans As He Readies For Al-Hazm

Joel Tagueu has announced his departure from Portugal via a message addressed to Marítimo supporters and managers. Tagueu is set to move to Saudi Arabia second-tier side Al Hazm.

“I wore the Marítimo jersey honorably and I gave the best of myself so that Marítimo always has the best results.

“I have lived through difficult times and other happy and successful ones. Today, I am writing to you to say goodbye, but I am not saying goodbye, I am just saying see you later” wrote Joël Tagueu on Instagram, Tagueu ended his publication with “See you soon”.

Having arrived Portugal in 2018 from Brazilian club Cruzeiro, Joël Tagueu, who over time became vice-captain of his team, scored 41 goals in 144 games with the red and green colors of Maritimo. The latter wrote his name in the history books of the Madeiran.

Maritimo are set to gain huge bucks from Tagueu’s transfer to Saudi. According to multiple sources from Portugal, Maritimo will receive €800,000 plus add-ons if he scores 10 goals this season for Al Hazm. Al Hazm are fighting for promotion in the Saudi Super League. They are placed second with 28 points in the 18-team championship after 15 matches.
