CHAN 2022: Ethiopia & Mozambique Tie For Nothing

There was no winner between Ethiopia and Mozambique in the second match of Group A of the TotalEnergies CHAN 2022.

Pressure was building between both sides after host nation Algeria defeated Libya via a marginal 1-0 scoreline on opening day.

Ethiopia and Mozambique faced each other on Saturday and separated with the score of zero-all.

A culmination of misses from Ethiopia meant pressure grew on the men of Wubetu Abate, who had clear cut chances especially in the first half, but they spurned them.

While dominating much of the encounter, Ethiopia failed to score or win and were forced to share the points against the Mozambicans.

The Mambas were the happier to take their first point in this competition, having never won a game in the final phase of CHAN.

It is therefore Algeria that maintains the head of group A, followed by Ethiopia and Mozambique.
