Malcolm Bokele Scores In Bordeaux’s Win Over Pau

French born Cameroonian youth international right back, Malcom Bokele was on target as Bordeaux defeated Pau on match day 22 of the Ligue 2.

Pau FC at a buzzing Nouste Camp of more than 3,800 people, could not get a grip of the game despite early dominance.

Bokele opened the scoring three minutes after the half hour mark for the men of David Guion. It was his first goal in 15 games played this season.

Pau became a shadow and never posed any threat of an equaliser. In the second stanza, the pace really fell, and Bordeaux capitalised on an error at the back and doubled their lead through Aliou Badji at the 67th minute.

Pau FC loses a place on the classification. They are now placed 15th but they maintain a five-point lead over the red zone before going to Grenoble next week.

Bokele and his Bordeaux teammates have the Ligue 1 within reach. They are 3rd on the log with 39 points after 22 games.
