Adamou Njoya’s Strike Seals Victory For Avion Over Eding

Avion Football club Academy registered a shock 1-0 victory over Eding Sports in the weekend’s action of the MTN Elite One championship.

The lone goal for the men of coach Ngambe David came courtesy 21 year old striker, Adamou Njoya Mbohou.

It is some redemption and a break from a streak of poor results for Avion Academy who picked up just one point out of a possible 15 matches prior to the game.

The match was delicately poised up until the 44th minute when Adamou Njoya struck at the cusp of halftime to gift his side the lead. The game went on to end 1-0 for the Nkam outfit.

The victory takes Avion to 9 points, one adrift of PWD who were on standby on the match day.

Bonaventure Djonkep’s Eding side have not been able to keep their consistency in the league, winning in one occasion against juggernauts Cotonsport, and losing immediately after against group A ‘class carriers’ Avion.

Eding remains 5th on the log with 17 points and they are up next against Canon, in a fortnight. Avion Academy are up against Canon over the weekend.
