Aboubakar scores but Besiktas fall away to Demirspor

Vincent Aboubakar added a second Turkish super league goal this terms but Besiktas fell courtesy a 4-2 margin to Adana Demirspor on Wednesday, September 27.

Adana Demirspor pulled off a stunning victory at home, defeating Besiktas 4-2 in the Super Lig’s delayed third-round fixture.

The home team found the back of the net at the 8th minute of play through Younès Belhanda.

A 79th minute strike from Vincent Aboubakar followed by a goal from Milot Rashica 10 minutes after, meant only a consolation for the European Conference League campaigners.

With this result, Adana Demirspor currently occupies the third position in the league table with 11 points, trailing the leaders, Galatasaray, by five points. Meanwhile, Besiktas sits in fifth place with 10 points. Aboubakar has scored twice in the Turkish super league this season. He totals 7 goals in 13 games in all competitions.
