Aboudi Onguene Inspires CSKA To Russian Cup Victory
CSKA Moscow won the Russian Cup against Zenit Saint-Petersburg in the final played on Friday, Nov. 4, courtesy 2-1 margin, with goals from Petrovna and Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene.
The Lionesses skipper scored the games second at the break with a magnificent shot outside the penalty area.
At a jam-packed Gazprom Arena, It was Tatiana Petrova who scored at the 36th minute to put CSKA Moscow ahead.
Shortly before half-time, Aboudi Onguene put a gloss on the scoreline, getting her team a second at the 45th minute.
After the second segment, Zenit St Petersburg pushed and halved deficit through Tsybusovich, which was Insufficient to catch CSKA Moscow that went on to grasp a second consecutive victory in the final of the Russian Cup.
Fans of the Indomitable Lionesses will like to see Aboudi Onguene carry this form to the qualifying play-offs for the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
