AFCON 2021: Arnaud Djoum To Replace Injured Jean Onana

2017 AFCON winner Arnaud Djoum is set to take the place of Jean Onana in Cameroon’s AFCON list of 28, sportsglitz.net understands.

Lille midfeilder, Jean Emile Onana has been ruled out of the 2021 AFCON, after picking up an ankle injury prior to Lille’s game against Les Jumeaux.

Given that the 21 year old was included in the 28 – man roster, he will then need to be replaced for the purpose of more depth.

Arnaud Djoum seems a competent, like – for – like replacement. Djoum, initially Included in the provisional list of 40 players, was indeed a fan favorite before a muscle injury struck.

The 32 – year – old Apol. Limassol midfeild metronome has the best possible profile to directly suit the team.

Djoum has accumulated 122 minutes in the last 3 games for Limassol. He has played 6 games in total, but hasn’t gotten off the mark with any goal or assist, since moving there in the summer. Cameroon starts her camp in Yaounde this December 26.
