AFCON 2021: Onana Joins List Of Lions In Hospital Bed

Cameroon International – Junior Onana of Girondins de Bordeaux is injured, and had to seat out his club’s 10-0 victory against Les Jumeaux .

The 21 year old has a tear a tear in his right hamstring. Due to that, he was declared forfeited for the 32nd final of the Coupe de France scheduled for Sunday.

The duration of his unavailability is not known yet. But if he does not recover quickly from his injury, the Cameroonian midfielder could miss the Lions’ camp in view of the AFCON.

The Indomitable Lions will converge on December 27, to prepare for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Junior Onana is in fact one of the 40 players preselected by Antonio Conceiçao. Only 28 will be definitively selected for the final phase of the competition.

Junior Onana has scored 2 times and assisted once in the French Ligue 1 this campaign, and he is closely followed by AC Milan.

He joins Harold Moukoudi, Jean Claude Bilong, and Njie Clinton, equally just recovering. Midfeilder – Martin Hongla played his first game last week against Empoli, after missing out on four games, due to illness.
