AFCON 2023: Indomitable Lions pack bags to Abidjan

The Indomitable Lions will leave Cote D’Ivoire’s Political capital to the Economic capital by midday today.

Team Cameroon will leave Yamoussoukro to Abidjan at 12 noon local time this Thursday, January 25, sportglitz.com reports.

The five-time African champions make the move ahead of their crunch AFCON round of 16 tie against Nigeria on Saturday, January 27th.

Cameroon were initially lodged in group C of the competition, but played their last group game in Bouake against the Gambia.

The Indomitable Lions got the better of Gambia in a chaotic ending at the Africa Cup of Nations, securing passage into the last 16.

Cameroon’s pulsating 3-2 win made them one of the 16 teams to sail through to the AFCON 2023 knockouts.
