Agbor Ernest U-turns on decision to resign Bamboutos job
Agbor Ernest has made a U-turn on his decision to resign as coach of Bamboutos FC, after amicably discussing with stakeholders of the Mangwa Boys.
The trainer tendered his resignation on September 22, as communicated by sportglitz, but did not state exact reasons for his decision.
However, members of his entourage cited non payment of sign on bonuses and external influence on the team’s transfer dealings, as key reasons for his resignation.
The aforementioned reasons have since been settled and coach Agbor has since returned to training.
Agbor Ernest joined the Mangwa Boys as a fire fighter towards the end of last season, taking over Ghana’s Joseph Asare Bediako.
He managed to keep the team afloat in the hotly contested 2023/2024 Elite one “playoffs down”, where the two-time Cameroon cup finalists finished 4th with 15 points.
A lot of Elite One clubs will keep close tabs on the former Cotonsport coach who had a good start to the league last season with Les Astres, but threw in the towel due to unresolved problems of players’ bonuses.
