Akono Scores Debut Goal Against WAC

With possibly his first action and kick of the ball, everyone saw Cameroon import Alain Thierry Akono is a thorough player, and as bonus, he got his debut goal.

The 26-year-old winger was thrown into a top game in the Moroccan championship for his debut against Wydad Athletic club, and he responded with an absolute goalazo for SC Chabab.

The art of scoring is undisputably a trademark for the player who was top scorer for Negeri Sembilan in the second-tier of the Malaysian league, helping the side to the first division with 15 goals in all competitions last term.

The Cameroonian made his way into the field as a substitute for Lamlaoui at the 75th minute.

Akono came in when his team trailed already courtesy goals from WAC strikers Reda Jaadi (62) and Ellafi (72).

The EX Fortuna man halved deficit at the 85th minute with a sublime finish out of the box, but it seemed a little too late for a fight back.

Chabab Mohammedia are placed in the 8th position of the Moroccan championship with 26 points in 20 match days.
