Al Ahli’s Pitso Mosimane Eulogizes Franck Kom

Pitso Mosimane has changed the fortunes of Saudi second-tier side Al Ahli Saudi FC and the gaffer has done so with efforts of some committed professionals.

Amid one of the committed players for Ahli this year is Cameroon’s midfeild metronome Franck Kom.

“Frank Kom is a pillar of strength in our team at the moment. His recent performances on these past games have been exceptional. How I wish he was a few years younger,” expressed the Al Ahli Saudi boss.

It takes tones of efforts to get praises from a coach of Pitso’s magnitude, and when it comes, it is something special.

Pitso Mosimane has a record of great man management and there is no doubt that there is a huge difference in Franck Kom’s most recent games.

Kom was acquired by Al Ahli in the 2021/2022 season for a transfer fee of ₮3.16 million after a superb campaign with Qatar’s Al Rayyan SC where he made 45 league appearances for 6 goals and 4 assists.

The anchor man has been in superlative form with Al Ahli playing a part in the team’s 14-game unbeaten streak.

31-year-old Frank Kom has formerly played in Germany for Karlsruher SC, ES Sahel, ES Tunis, and Panthere of Nde in his native Cameroon.

Pitso’s Al Ahli are well on queue to gain a targeted promotion slot to the Saudi Pro league, with 31 points from 16 games played, and a game in hand.
