Aliou Cissé hospitalized after famous victory against Cameroon
Aliou Cissé has been hospitalized after Senegal’s famous 3-1 victory against Cameroon, sportglitz confirms.
On Thursday, Senegal faced and defeated Cameroon on game day 2 of the AFCON 2023 in Cote D’Ivoire.
Aliou Cissé’s men played smoothly and secured R16 qualification after a 3-1 win. However, immediately after the match, bad news was announced from the Senegalese side.
According to information from initial information by Canal+, later confirmed by sportglitz.com, Aliou Cissé felt an uneasiness at the stadium around 10 p.m.
The 2021 AFCON winning coach is reportedly still in hospital. Prior to the game, there was no sign of illness portrayed by the gaffer.
Cisse’s life is however not in danger, but he remains under observation by the medical staff.
Part of the Senegalese delegation is on site to monitor the state of health of Aliou Cissé, who should be released within a few hours, according to sportglitz sources.
