Alioum Sidi Returns From Injury To A Presidential Role

The Cameroon Association of Referees of have a new boss, and it is non other than Alioum sidi, a FIFA international referee.

Alioum ran the race unopposed and had the support of all and sundry officials, thus, he was given a 14-month term to head the office.

Alioum is currently recovering from a long term injury but looks set to make his return to the big stage next year, after a successful rehabilitation in Cameroon’s capital of yaounde.

For starters, Sidi Alioum (born 17 July 1982) is one of the more experienced referees on the continent.

He has officiated at five editions of the Africa Cup of Nations and was the referee for the 2019 final.

Alioum has also officiated at two editions of the FIFA Club World Cup, two FIFA U-20 World Cups, and the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
