All you need to know about Cotonsport’s new coach, Daniel Breard
Cotonsport’s newly appointed Daniel Breard has been a journeyman on the continent, and has a good track record. However, 65-year-old French technician’s profile is not filled with the names of major football clubs, but the native of Saint-Chamond has a good knowledge of the African continent, having worked on the continent for two clubs.
Daniel Breard discovered Africa via the DR Congo, during the 2016-2017 season where he offered his services to the greens and whites of the DC Motema Pembe.
In March 2020, he joined the Industrial Club of Kamsar in Guinea Conakry and led the club to climb to second place in the championship with a historic qualification for the CAF Champions League.
Both parties went on to part ways on a wrong footing. According to the foot224, the non-selection of D. Breard to the post of coach of the national Silly which he coveted, played part in his departure in 2022, when the club wanted to extend the French technician’s contract.
Cotonsport’s new gaffer new coach who arrives Garoua, will look to take the club to the CAF champions league group stage, and prolly better last year’s record.
This is set to be Breard’s biggest job yet, as Cotonsport has at heart to maintained its domination over the Cameroonian championship, and anything less than CAF inter-club glory is routine.
Daniel Breard holds a UEFA A pro diploma, a significant asset for the man who was shortlisted for the post of Cameroon’s senior national team coach in 2018.
