ANAFOOT prodigy and son to celebrated Cameroonian coach, Agbor Ernest, center-half – Eyong Bessem Agbor Bogard is seeing it all at a top level, aged just 16.

The left footed center-half made his debut for club-side PWD against Colombe of the Dja on match day two of the Elite One Championship, aged 16 years, 9 months and 26 days.

The youngster played under tough conditions as he was called upon to replace Kamdoum Yannick, after Mbom was booked – out of the game in the first half.

The ball – playing sweeper entered at the brink of halftime time, and then played the remainder of the last 45 minutes, in his team’s 2-0 defeat.

It however wasn’t the lad’s first high profile game. Bogard comes from a bloodline of winners, and just being the son of now Cotonsport assistant coach, Agbor Ernest, comes with a lot of expectations.

Bogard was omnipresent in August earlier this month, as he aided coach Nlend Aimes’s team to glory at the National ANAFOOT tourney, but hang on a minute, he was well ahead of his peers as he engaged in the South West regional championship, before then.

Agbor Bogard was a key component of ISOHSA’s wonderful 2022 campaign, as they made it to the round of 32 in the Cameroon cup.

He equally played the playoffs with ISOHSA, that saw them defeated by Best Stars Academy in the playoffs.

Few months apart, Bogard joined PWD on course for the inter-club competition, and he was an integral part of the team’s camp, under the auspices of coach Nkabyo Martin.

The youngster played in the team’s away game against Elgeco in Madagascar, and was quite solid despite PWD’s ousting.

Bogard turns only 17 in December, but he is developing to be a fine professional, with the most frightful part perhaps, being the maturity which will cap his game in few years to come.

PWD could field the youngster in their next game as Mbom is suspended, and captain Buri Derick is still recovering from a long term injury.
