Anguissa Hobbles Off In Napoli’s UCL Win Over Ajax

At the peak of his powers, Zambo Anguissa could well get an unwanted break as he hobbled off in his team’s champions league victory against Ajax on Wednesday.

In what was considered yet another brilliant night of Champions League football for Luciano Spalletti, Napoli have been dealt a tough blow in the form of Zambo Anguissa’s forced exit from the pitch.

The midfielder needed to be substituted as his side led 2-1 over Ajax early in the second half. Napoli revealed in their official statement that Anguissa injured his right thigh and will be monitored by the medical’s staff in the coming days.

As a result, Anguissa’s status for the match against Jose Mourinho’s Roma on October 23rd is doubtful.

For country, the severity of his injury is not that which could force the 26-year-old out of Cameroon’s squad for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
