Anguissa nets 5th of the campaign as Napoli rally from behind to break Juve’s unbeaten run

Anguissa netted his fifth goal of the season against Juve, but most importantly set the pace for his team’s comeback later completed by Lukaku, to break Juve’s 29-game unbeaten Serie A run. Anguissa has recorded 8 goals contribution with three assists dangling between the five goals.

The Cameroon international has already scored more than the three goals he got in the Scudetto-winning campaign.

Napoli confirmed their Scudetto credentials with a heroic 2-1 home win against bitter rivals Juventus at Stadio Diego Maradona. Antonio Conte’s side fought back from a halftime deficit to inflict Juve’s first defeat in Serie A this season.

Winter arrival Randal Kolo Muani fired Juventus in front at the stroke of halftime. However, like in the game against Atalanta, Napoli turned the game on its head. Andre Frank-Zambo Anguissa scored a thumping header after Matteo Politano’s cross to initiate the comeback.

Only 12 minutes after the equalizer, Scott McTominay drew a penalty as Romelu Lukaku netted another crucial winner from the spot to temporarily extend Napoli’s lead on second-placed Inter to six points. It was Partenopei’s seventh league win on the trot and third at home.

Furthermore, Napoli have now won six consecutive home league meetings with Juventus, cementing their status as genuine title contenders. Without further ado, let’s look at our player ratings.
