Antonio Conceiçao Leaves Out Choupo; Kunde, Jerome Onguene Start Against Stallions

Portuguese tactician Antonio Conceiçao has opted to start with Olympiakos metronome, Pierre Kunde Malong in that deep lying midfeild role for the Indomitable Lions.

This, despite the fact that the former Mainz midfeilder suffered from the Covid19 a fortnight ago.

Micheal Ngadeu who is equally returning from a Covid19 scare is paired in the heart of the defense, with RB Salzburg sweeper, Jerome Onguene.

In goal for the Lions is Inter – bound Andre Onana, who has kept the net clean in the his last two outings; against Malawi and Cote D’Ivoire, in the WC 2022 qualifiers.

MLS MVP at the left back position, Nouhou Tolo, has received the gaffer’s nod ahead of Ebosse and Oyongo Bitolo. He will look to be a telepath to right – back Fai Collins, who scored for his club – Standard Liege, on December 19, before joining camp.

No surprise that Napoli star Zambo Anguissa will play ahead of Kunde and Oum, just holding back and securing the defense.

Little or no change up top for Antonio, as he has gone in for a classic trio of; Young Boys’ Moumi Ngamaleu, skipper – Vincent Aboubakar, and Lyon’s in – form Toko Ekambi.

Game starts at 5 pm local time.
