Aristide Bance Comes Out Of Retirement To Join Drogba At Williamsville

Burkina Bay star Aristide Bance, 36, has announced he will dust his cleats and join Cote D’Ivoire club – Williamsville AC this coming season.

This comes over a year after he announced his retirement on July 21, 2020.

As at December 2017, Cote D’Ivoire legend – Didier Drogba joined Williamsville Athletic Club as a board member, and has since then, aided in the management of the club’s affairs

Bance, equally known as the journey man, has played for over 22 football clubs and this time, he aims at taking Williamsville Athletic Club to the Cote D’Ivoire top-tier next campaign.

It is going to be the fifth club in Cote D’Ivoire that the 2013 AFCON finalist will be playing for, after; Stade D’Abidjan, Athletic Adjame, RFC Daoukro, and most recently ASEC Mimosas.

Aristide Bance is one of few players who have aged like fine wine. Bance has scored 112 club scores in a career that started in 2001. He was capped 72 times for Burkina Faso, and scored 24 goals within a period of 17 years.

For starters, Williamsville Athletic Club was founded in 1995. Their greatest achievement was in 2017 when they emerged runners-up in the Cote D’Ivoire premier division, and played the CAF champions league the following year
