Authentic Ladies Stun Lekie FF in GSL Opener

Authentic Ladies FC of Douala surprised many at the launch of season 4th Guinness Super League season by beating Lekié Football Filles.

The match ended with an astonishing 4-2 victory for Authentic, who dominated from start to finish.

This first game of fourth Guinness Super League season aroused emotions. The reigning champions, Lekié FF, had to face an exceptional Authentic Ladies FC of Douala.

Indeed, from the start of the match, Authentic showed its determination by taking control of the game. Its commitment and offensive efficiency quickly resulted in goals, thus putting pressure on the reigning champions. The first half ended with a score of 2-0 in favor of Authentic. Nana and Makoma getting early goals on the 1st and 17th minute, and then, Ngo Billong completed first half scoring at the 25th minute.

During the second half, Authentic continued to dictate the pace, scoring one more goal that made the score 4-0, courtesy a 56th minute Kiki Meva strike. Lekié FF then reacted by scoring two goals from Ekoume (74) and Manga (90+4) but it was too late to reverse the trend.

The 4-2 victory of Authentic Ladies FC of Douala on game day 1 was enthusiastically received by the public, while the girls of Lekié FF found themselves facing a surprising start to the season.
