BAL: Crawford’s Second MVP-Show Hands Slack Win 2
Teams are turning on the afterburner burners in the business end of this year’s Basketball Africa League in the Sahara Conference, and so is Slack.
But where would SLACK be without Marcus Crawford? Surely it is a question that no fan of the Guinean reps. Will like to answer, as Crawford has been unerring.
The Guard was for a second time in the tourney voted match MVP, as he aided SLACK to victory against a resolute Clube Ferroviaro on March 12.
SLACK trotted back to action after having sat out Friday, and goodness, a day off did the men of coach Željko Zečević.
The six — time Guinean champions dominated the first half and went to the break with a massive 15 points lead; 51-36.
Clube Ferroviaro just couldn’t battle with a well rested SLACK even on the whistle, just like from the tip off at the beginning.
Crawford dominated in – and – around the perimeter, as his play map and points suggests. The latter scored 23 points, 5 assists and 9 rebounds, as his team won her second game in the competition.
Unsurprisingly, anytime Crawford’s team wins a match, he goes on to be voted MVP, showing his importance to the team.
The next game for SLACK is a crucial encounter against AS Sale on Monday March 14.
