Bangor City FC Snap Coach Olivier Ovambe

The Royal Blues of Bangor City FC have signed – up coach Olivier Ovambe for the rest of the season, with the aim of finishing as high as they can this season.

It seems the best decision made by the side plying in the second-tier of Welsh football, especially as this is the latter’s second coming to the club.

Ovambe takes over Hugo Colace, who left the team in mid – table, 8th placed in the Cymru North.

Erstwhile Rothernam FC coach Olivier Maturin Ovambe comes in for the second time. His first spell was in 2019/2020 as assistant of Argentine World Cup winner Pedro Pasculli. The duo was given the task of helping Bangor back into the top flight. Ovambe and Pasculli started with a 2-1 victory over Rhyl in November. Pasculli and Ovambe had their work cut out as Pasculli, the man who was a roommate of Diego Maradona at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, had to leave due the Covid19 pandemic.

Coach Ovambe had other offers this summer but due to his ties with the club, decided to work with club president Domenico Serafino.

President Domenico Serafino who is equally a Musician and producer, is on a mission to make Bangor City FC great again. Domenico Serafino has made the club stable and one can virtually feel that promotion to the Welsh top-flight is ever so close.

Bangor City FC is an iconic club having played the European cup winners cup, the UEFA Cup winners cup, the UEFA Cup, and most recently, the Champions League and the Euroupa league in the 2011/2012 campaign.

Ovambe is positive, enthusiastic, supportive, and goal-oriented, ahead of the task ahead.

The club is currently placed 8th on the table with over 19 games left till the end of the season.
