Barca’s Asisat Oshoala Is A CENTURION

In four years at Football Club Barcelona, Oshoala has clocked a century of goals!

FC Barcelona striker Oshoala is on a trailblazing run with three hat-tricks to her name this season. She is currently the top scorer in the Women’s Liga feminine with 17 goals in 18 matches. All these, after returning from injury.

“Superzee” scored a hat-trick (61st, 77th and 90+2 minutes) in Barca’s 7-0 win against Real Betis, on match day 18 of the Liga feminine.

The Super Falcons forward has scored three hat-tricks in games, against: Betis, Levante Las Palmas and Grenadilla.

In the last three games, Asisat Oshoala has scored seven goals and dished out one assist. A record that makes her the current top scorer in the Spanish championship. She dethroned Levante striker Alba Redondo with 16 goals.

In her last four games, Oshoala has played 182 minutes out of a possible 360, scoring 9 goals. She has 21 goals in all competitions combined.

Away from action since July 2022 due to an injury, the ex gunner had missed the start of the season. She played her first match on September 27 against Villarreal.

The 2022 CAF women’s player of the year wasted no time in resuming her goalscoring with Barcelona upon return.

She found the net in her first appearance upon resumption. Now she has 17 goals, an Impressive return. At this rate, Asisat Oshoala could finish top scorer in La Liga. This is not the first time that Oshoala has come back in force after physical glitches.

She had recovered from a serious injury in 2021-22, finishing joint top scorer in La Liga with 20 goals in 19 appearances.
