Blondon Meyapya Debuts For Red Star

Out on loan at French third – tier side – Red Star, Blondon Meyapya came off the bench to make his debut on match day 21 of the championship.

The 20 year old Fauve Azure export came off the bench at the 56th minute to replace Josué Homawoo.

It wasn’t a good day in office for the Angers defender on loan, as he received yellow at the 79th minute, and his team eventually lost 1-0.

The Ex Under-20 Lions skipper is held with high esteem by coach Habib Beye, despite not having hit the ground running since his arrival in France.

The latter was loaned out by Angers B to Red Star in a duration of 6 months (January 31 to June 30), to help save the defensive frailties of Habib Beye’s side.

Red Star are 14th in the 18-team Championship having picked up 23 points from 21 games. Meyapya is expected to have more game time when his team plays host to third – placed Annecy on Monday 21st.
